This is a soft boiled egg which is just like a hard boiled egg…but soft! It’s actually quite easy to make. Boil the egg for about 3 minutes, take it out, and let it cool. Then take off the upper 1/4 of the shell off, and get a knife and cut the top 1/4 of the egg. Separately, make some toast, butter it, and cut it into 1/2 inch strips. When you have everything ready, dip the strips into the yolk of the egg. It’s quite good. Ideally, I love to serve this with nothing but a glass of grapefruit juice, although some bacon wouldn’t hurt. This is not meant to be a replacement to a poached egg in any way. I consider it to be a easier, fail safe alternative though.
